Las Mujeres, Womens Wellness Program PDF Print E-mail

Las Mujeres is a free program that is designed to engage the women in the surrounding area to explore methods of wellness and to find chances to socialize and establish hard to find moments of ‘Me Time.’

The program is starting as a health program focused on walking and will grow to incorporate other exercise methods such as yoga, pilates, tango and other forms of movement. Las Mujeres will also expand to include the following topics:

- Food (nutrition, efficiency, economics, alternative cooking)
- Creativity (gardening, arts, cultural field trips)
- Family (discussion groups, baby clothes swaps)
- Community (landscape and cleanups of local community areas, neighborhood events)
- Empowerment (programs and access to information on self/career/finance/family issues,
self defense, book club, handy lady lessons)
