Lauren Tietz (Guest Contact Improvisatio instructor) has been practicing Contact Improvisation since she was first exposed to it in 1998 in Arizona. It has been a true love ever since! In Austin she has performed and made new work since 2001. She has performed in the works of various choreographers including Sally Jacques, Ellen Bartel, Caroline Sutton Clark, and Sumi Komo among others. She was a co-creator of the Improvisational Movement Project, a five member collective of dance artists. She has produced multiple works in theaters and at specific sites in the city. She is currently part of the Meeting Point, a collective of dancers meeting monthly to research modes of composing dance in real time. Lauren is also a certified Pilates instructor teaching private clients at Tindle & Associates, a private physical therapy and body work clinic. | | |
