| | Gustavo (Spanish & tango instructor) grew up in Buenos Aires, immersed in its culture. Not only is Spanish his native language, he is also passionate about it. He has taught and tutored people in the Spanish language and is eager to get people more comfortable in comprehending and speaking Spanish (or “Castellano” as he would say it). Gustavo loves to communicate and listen to people. He is a patient, invigorating and encouraging soul. Gustavo is also one of Esquina's main tango instructors. Tango has always been part of his life--especially the music. As an adult, he stumbled upon the dance and fell in love with its rhythms and intensities. His dance style expresses passionate feelings and connection and a sense of humor with his partner, the audience and the music. Since 2003, he has trained in Austin with Monica Caivano & Partha Roy, Tomas Howlin, Oliver Kolker, Silvina Valz & Javier Rochwagner, and in Buenos Aires with Lorena Ermocida, Osvaldo Zotto, El Flaco Dany and the milongas! In teaching this dance that he loves some much he has found a calling. Gustavo's classes are fun & full of energy! |
