Bringing new life to the classic stylings of Argentine folk music, singer, guitarist, composer and multi-linguist Gerard Edery interprets the sublime poetry and music of the late Atahualpa Yupanqui. Gerard’s vocal and instrumental virtuosity and innovative arrangements do poetic justice to one of the major authors of South American folk music, helping in the process to preserve Atahualpa’s legacy outside of Argentina. He reveals the cultural and emotional depth of his repertoire with reverent sensitivity.
