Come  learn the basics of  Turkish Oryantal style Bellydance in a 2 1/2 hour  workshop  designed to familiarize you with the particular moves and style   that characterize Classical Turkish Bellydance. Learn the history  of Turkish  dance, how to distinguish the music, the basic rhythms  and add onto your  existing knowledge of Bellydance moves with the  singular style that is  Turkish. Bear in mind, this is not Gypsy,  Rom or Folkloric Turkish, but  rather a style that utilizes aspects  of the previously mentioned styles  combined with Arabic dance and  even some Indian influences. There's gonna be  a lot of hip  twisting fun going on!

Jamie Lynn dances both Egyptian  Style and Turkish  Oryantal and loves both for their variety of energy and  emotion.  She is the Turkish dancer at Raks Helwa Bellydance Show at Ruta Maya. She has been studying Turkish style since she went to Turkey  in 1999.
