Mong-Lan presents Tangos: singing tangos accompanied by her guitar (Perfumes de Amor, de Argentina y Viet Nam, Tango Por Siempre), in Poetry through her books, and her Artwork related to the Tango.

Mong-Lan is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, poet-writer, visual artist, and dancer of the Argentine tango. As a classically trained pianist, tango guitarist and singer, she has been based in Buenos Aires for numerous years, dancing and singing tangos. Former Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, a Fulbright Scholar, winner of a Pushcart Prize, the Juniper Prize, and other prizes, she has performed on numerous stages, nationally and internationally, on university campuses and schools, and for cultural organizations.

Perfumas de Amor, de Argentina y Viet Nam, (Tango Por Siempre) is her latest tango album release with voice and guitar, with the virtuoso Enrique Santillan. This year, she released a jazz piano album, New Orleans of My Heart. As a tango and jazz artist, she has released ten albums, which include: Diary: Voyages; City of Dreams – Ciudad de Sueños; and Dreaming Orchid: poetry & jazz.

An award-winning poet and writer, Mong-Lan has written seven books of poetry, some of which also include her artwork. Tango, Tangoing: poems & art (Tango, Tanguando: poemas y dibujos) is her contribution to tango literature, poetry and art.

Mong-Lan’s artwork has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the United States, such as the Dallas Museum of Art. She has also exhibited her work internationally, in public exhibitions in Argentina, Germany, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, etc.

Furthermore, a tango dancer with a background in classical ballet and flamenco, she has had over twenty years of tango dance experience, and has danced, choreographed, performed and taught Argentine tango in Buenos Aires, Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, Italy, Vietnam, etc. Visit: www.monglan.com.
